The "Glynns" in Irish/Gaelic
means "The Valleys", and
that is exactly what you get:
The house and facilities are located
at the back of 97 acres of sharply
ravined and deeply wooded property
-teeming with deer, turkey, rabbits,
squirrels and other wildlife. This
is the land of John James Audubon
and the abundant flowers and birds
are a constant reminder. You can
walk (or ride) the many trails and
virtually get lost in the wilderness
- as you are completely surrounded
by woods and wildlife. (Look out
for ghosts, as you are on the hallowed
grounds of Myrtles Plantation, rumored
to be built upon Sacred Indian burial
grounds).

The private drive leading up to the house (3/4 mile
off Highway 61) is dominated by views of green pastures,
deep ravines and primal woods. At about the ½
mile mark, you make a left turn and there in front
of you, between the towering brick and mortar entrance
gates, stands the majestic house, stopping you dead
in your tracks as you unexpectedly behold the 3 ½
story Victorian Mansion behind! (surrounded and adorned
by 100 crepe myrtles, and covered by a 65 ft tall
Wisteria vine) (The Wisteria blooms in mid - late
March) (Crepe Myrtles bloom 3-4 times a year) (Magnolias
in March/April) (Dogwoods in March/April) (Cottonwoods
in March/April)
Behind the house, overlooked by the pool deck and
many balconies, are three successive ponds, leading
down to a larger lake below. Every afternoon the sun
sets behind the lake, bathing the valley below in
natural color - and offering breathtaking views and
inspirations of romance.
